How to get here

  • By road

    Driving is mainly scenic, with great views along the way, and there's plenty of parking. Some of our villages and attractions are tucked away down country lanes, so a sat nav is always handy to bring.

  • By bus and coach

    If you'd like a break from driving, a range of bus tickets are available. Over 60? Don't forget to bring your pass to get free off-peak travel wherever you go.

  • By train

    You’ll find excellent connections from Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool.

  • By air

    Leeds Bradford and Manchester International Airports have a large number of domestic and international scheduled routes. Both airports are easily accessible with a direct rail service to the area
    from Manchester Airport.

  • By boat

    North Sea Ferries operate routes from Rotterdam and Zeebrugge to Hull - the North's major continental ferry terminal, which is just 1½ hour's drive from Kirklees.
