Changing Places Toilets are facilities for people who may be unable to use standard accessible toilets. The facilities provide additional space for users and carers and incorporate equipment specifically designed for those with profound physical and learning disabilities.

Included in a Changing Places Toilet

  • Peninsular toilet
  • A Height-adjustable changing bench
  • A hoist system*
  • Shower facilities (where provided)

For Health and Safety reasons we do not provide slings. Users are asked to bring their own sling which will need to be compatible with the hoists loop system.

Below are details of the Changing Places Toilets which are available to the public within Kirklees Council premises. Please note that some facilities may not be fully compliant as they predate the current regulations

Kirklees Council is committed to providing appropriate facilities that support both users and carers and allow our towns and spaces to be accessible to and enjoyed by all.
