About the site

The play area at Flockton Recreation Ground is situated in the heart of Flockton Village. It is located on the open greenspace in between Chapel Lea Estate and Park Side within the Kirkburton Ward of Kirklees.

Outdoor play significantly contributes to a child's physical, social, and cognitive development. However, it is not just for children and young people; it should be encouraged throughout life, offering numerous benefits to individuals and communities alike.

Our goal is to enhance and expand the play facilities at this site, making them accessible to a variety of ages and abilities.
