Situated in front of Almondbury Parish Church opposite the junction of Fenay Lane / Westgate and Northgate.
The period commemorated is 1914-1919 and 1939-1945.
An Old English village cross in Clipsham stone, the base of which rests on four bold steps and is hexagonal. Total height is 19 feet.
Name tablets are cut in slate and incorporated into a curved wall immediately behind the cross.
The designer of the monument was by Sir Charles Nicholson, it was erected by Messrs Graham and Jessop Ltd and unveiled at an official ceremony on the 15th May 1921.
