Events
We have a range of events that take place year-round, mainly during the school holidays, to help bring you and your family closer to nature.
All our annual events are featured below to help you plan your time. More information on each event though can be found on our Cliffe House Facebook page, closer to the time of the event along with advanced tickets, where applicable, which can be purchased from the Kirklees Town Hall website on the book tickets page. These will also be made available closer to the time of the event. Prices vary depending on the event. In addition to our events we offer activities during the school holidays, information for these can be found on our Activities page.
March-April
Wind your way through our wonderful woodland uncovering clues that lead to a magical word and an Easter egg treat.
This event runs alongside our usual school holiday activities.
Cost: a small charge per person taking part in the trail - you only need to purchase a ticket if you would like an Easter egg treat. Advanced booking online recommended.
3rd Saturday in August
Join us to celebrate cars and bikes of all ages and styles. There will also be a BBQ, snacks and refreshments available.
This event runs alongside our usual school holiday activities.
Cost: Free entry.
October
Come along and enjoy a spooky Halloween special at Cliffe House, pick your own pumpkin and carve out your own spooky design.
This event runs alongside our usual school holiday activities.
Cost: priced per pumpkin includes use of tools to carve your pumpkin. Advanced booking online recommended.
October
Get outdoors and enjoy our Halloween fun trail around the grounds of Cliffe House. The trail is family and buggy-friendly, with something for everyone to enjoy. When you have collected all the clues, don't forget to return to the food kiosk to collect your prize!
This event runs alongside our usual school holiday activities.
Cost: a small charge per trail sheet and prize. Advanced booking online recommended but you can pay on the day.
Late November
Get in the festive spirit at Cliffe House as we welcome a mixture of Christmas gift and craft stalls from a range of sellers, with festive food and drinks also available. There is also a Santa's Grotto, nature trail, make-your-own reindeer activity, and live music.
Cost: Free entry. Additional charge per person for Santa's Grotto, nature trail and make your own reindeer.
