Our fostering information sessions

These sessions are a great opportunity for you to find out all about becoming a foster carer for Kirklees.

Our friendly fostering team will be able to answer all your questions. They will talk you through the process and cover everything from training to benefits. They will describe the huge differences you can make to the lives of our children and young people.

February

• Saturday 22 February, 10:30am to 4pm: KAL Leisure Centre. Huddersfield. Spring Grove St, Huddersfield. HD1 4BP.

March

• Monday 10 March, 10am to 4pm: Morrisons. Penistone Rd, Waterloo, Huddersfield, HD5 8QW.

April

• Friday 4 April, 10am to 4pm: Tesco Cleckheaton. 49 Northgate, Cleckheaton. BD19 3HS
• Tuesday 22 April, 7pm to 8pm: Virtual event on Microsoft Teams. For joining instructions, please email fostering@kirklees.gov.uk.

• Monday 12 May to Sunday 25 May: Foster Care Fortnight. Program of events to follow.

June

• Saturday 7 June, 10am till 4pm: Pride event - Huddersfield Town Centre.

July

• Saturday 12 July, 8:30am to 10:30am: Park Run. Greenhead Park, Trinity St, Huddersfield, HD1 4DT.

August

• Sunday 3 August, 10am to 4pm: Yorkshire Day. Oakwell Hall, Nova Lane, Birstall, Batley WF17 9LF.

• Supermarket in North Kirklees: TBC.
