Spotting the signs of mental health

Good mental health is important to everyone and being able to spot the signs is a valuable quality. Spotting the signs can often be difficult as symptoms can vary from person to person and not every change means there is a mental health problem.
Early common signs to look out for
- Poor concentration
- Being easily distracted
- High or low moods
- Fear, worry and anxiety
- Social withdrawal
- Irritability
- Sleeping more or less
- Changes in eating habits
- Aggression
- Talking more or less
- Changes in behaviour
- Appetite changes
If you spot one of these signs, it does not always mean that the person has a mental health problem, however this can be a way to start a conversation to help you figure it out.
