Green Park
Originally common land used for fairs, Green Park in Heckmondwike was transformed into a park to commemorate the coronation of King George V. This small park is located in the middle of the town centre and includes a circular grassed area with bandstand and war memorial surrounded by formal planting. This space is used for the annual Heckmondlight Festival and has in the past hosted events like Bounce n Bump family fun day and the Crown of Lights Music Festival (HeckyFest!).
