Piazza
Nestled between Huddersfield Library and the Piazza Shopping Centre, this grassed area lies within a pedestrianised zone and in the past has hosted Huddersfield Ice Rink and been used as a street theatre performance space for events such as Hypervelocity.. it has even been home to a swathe of giant red tulips as part of Festival of Light! More recently, Big Screen events have been located here as well as family fun days and Christmas light switch on events.
As this is a grassed area, you will need to take the weather into consideration when planning your event.

Access
Due to the Piazza being a grassed area it could be difficult for wheelchair users but access is possible via ramp and footpath.
Vehicle Access is not permitted between 9am - 4pm.
Access is restricted by bollards and library building attendants can remove the bollards to allow access at the following times:
- Mon - Fri 8am - 9am and 4pm - 5pm
- Sat - 8am - 9am and then at 4pm
- Sun - unavailable
