Adult learning timetable

A wide range of courses and workshops is available. Courses include:

  • Boost confidence and health and wellbeing
  • Preparing to work in schools
  • Volunteering
  • Help with employability skills
  • Increase your digital skills and confidence

Eligibility

You must:

  • be aged 19 or over
  • live in Kirklees
  • have been resident in the UK for 3 years or more, or a spouse of a UK resident
  • or, if you are an asylum seeker or refugee you must have been in the UK for 6 months and are yet to have received a decision on your status.

Funding and delivery

Our skills programmes are funded via the adult education budget and UK Shared Prosperity Fund hyper-local programme from West Yorkshire Combined Authority and delivered through a collaboration of partners across the Kirklees district. They are managed by Kirklees Council and delivered by Aalfy, Crosland Moor Community Learning Centre, Education Planet, Kirklees Success Centre, Proper Job Theatre Co, Ravensthorpe Community Centre and Third Sector Leaders (Consortia).
