Creativity, culture and the arts improve the quality of all our lives. We want to drive creative industries to move from the margins to the mainstream. This will:

  • provide more opportunity for people to develop their creative talents
  • provide more supported pathways into creative careers
  • build on success
  • create entrepreneurship.

What we offer

We want participants to gain an understanding of the creative arts sector. They will learn about the many roles and opportunities available to them. This may be through employment opportunities or insight and guidance that encourages participants to start their own business. We want to give everyone the opportunity to unlock their creative talents by:

  • Raising awareness, by generating interest in a sector that participants might not have previously considered.
  • Enabling access to provision to develop sector-specific skills and experience that could lead to work, volunteering or further learning opportunities.
  • Providing activities that will:
    • deliver skills development
    • promote entrepreneurship
    • develop a better understanding of the arts and creative economy
    • provide practical opportunities to experience the sector.
  • Providing activity, supported by a volunteer coordinator, that will support training for volunteers and volunteering opportunities in the creative art sector.
  • Providing access to information advice and guidance on self-employment and setting up their own business.
