Buxton House Compulsory Purchase Order 2024
The council plans to undertake a comprehensive refurbishment of Buxton House in Huddersfield town centre. To achieve the implementation of this scheme the council made a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) on 26 November 2024. This affects one property within Buxton House.
Compulsory Purchase is a legal mechanism by which 'acquiring authorities', Kirklees Council in this case, can acquire land without the agreement of the owner.
